Overview
Klarity Advisor now supports file uploads directly in chat conversations. This allows users to share and discuss documents, spreadsheets, images, and data files with the AI assistant for analysis, extraction, and insights. The file‑upload path in Advisor chat is faster than the general file upload process, because the Agent reads only what’s needed for the user’s prompt.
Use this guide for:
- Internal team reference and troubleshooting
- Customer support and training
- Onboarding new users to the file upload feature
Supported File Types
You can upload the following file formats:
- PDF (.pdf)
- Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx)
- Word documents (.docx)
- Images (.jpeg, .png)
- CSV files (.csv)
Upload Limits
Please note these important limitations:
- Maximum 2 files per chat
- Maximum total file size: 10MB per chat (combined across all uploaded files)
Important Behavior Notes
File Persistence
- Files uploaded to Advisor chat are not persisted as artifacts in the workspace.
- Uploaded files cannot be referenced in Operations or in other Advisor chats.
- Each file’s context is only available within the specific chat where it was uploaded.
Agent Awareness
- The Agent can only access and understand the file’s content within the chat session where the file was uploaded.
- If you start a new chat, you’ll need to re‑upload the file for the Agent to access it again.
